AKL’16: Experience Laser Technology Live in Europe´s Largest Laser Application Center!
Over 600 participants from Germany and abroad are expected at the eleventh International Laser Technology Congress AKL’16 in the Eurogress in Aachen, Germany. In three parallel sessions the proven main program of the technological conference will encompass the latest laser manufacturing processes for micro and macro applications – from cutting and welding via micro-joining and laser material deposition all the way to polishing and thin film processes – as well as innovative developments in the field of laser beam sources.
The technological conference will be accompanied by a sponsors´ exhibition comprising over 50 renowned companies in laser technology. In individual conversations participants have the opportunity to inform themselves on innovative products and processes in laser technology as well as to establish contacts or deepen existing contacts.
During the Seminar Laser Technology ABC’s on April 27, experts provide a structured and practice-oriented overview for companies with little experience in the area of laser technology. On the Technology Business Day on April 27, 2016, managing directors, marketing managers as well as sales directors will obtain useful information of the laser markets worldwide and sector-specific insight for the use of laser technology in the manufacturing industry.
Additionally, on the first conference day, you can get a comprehensive overview on the state of the art and current developments in two separate forums, as well as contacts to designated experts, if you would like to delve deeper into Process Control or Laser Additive Manufacturing.
Experience Laser Technology Live in Europe´s Largest Laser Application Center!
At the event “Laser Technology Live” participants of the AKL’16 will be able to exchange ideas intensively on the latest technological developments thanks to around 70 live presentations in the application center of the Fraunhofer ILT.
But not only from the scientific point of view does “Laser Technology Live” provide valuable impulses. Among others, companies will learn from the managing directors of the Aachen Center for Additive Manufacturing ACAM how to profitably establish additive manufacturing technologies into their production processes. Christian Hinke, managing director of the funding initiative “Research Campus Digital Photonic Production”, will inform interested parties about medium to long term cooperation possibilities in the “Innovation Center Digital Photonic Production”.
Opening of the ”Innovation Center Digital Photonic Production”
In the evening on April 28, 2016, the Fraunhofer ILT invites the participants of the AKL ´16 to the opening of the “Innovation Center DPP”. As the first building of the Photonics Cluster near the Fraunhofer ILT, the “Innovation Center DPP” is part of the emerging campus of the RWTH Aachen University, one of Europe´s biggest technological oriented research landscapes. Here, scientists work, among other subjects, on projects of the “Research Campus DPP”, funded by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF), in which scientists investigate new methods and fundamental physical effects regarding the use of light as an instrument in future industrial production.
Supporting Organizations
The International Laser Technology Congress AKL’16 is organized by the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT. The European Commission, the European Photonics Industry Consortium EPIC, the Arbeitskreis Lasertechnik e.V., the European Laser Institute ELI, the Innovation Networks for Optical Technologies OptecNet Germany as well as the industry associations SPECTARIS, VDA, VDMA and VDI all assist the forum as supporting organizations.
