11th International Laser Processing and Systems Conference (LPC 2016)
Date: March 15–16 ; Venue: Ballroom, Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel, 6th Floor, Shanghai New International Expo Center
The International Laser Processing and Systems Conference held concurrently with the trade fair LASER World of PHOTONICS CHINA has become the most famous conference focusing on laser technology and applications in Asia. This year, the conference will focus on Advanced Laser Intelligent Manufacturing. The key topic will be advanced laser technology including: fiber and ultra-fast laser technology and applications, state-of-the-art technology and application of laser micro processing, laser additive manufacturing and laser 3D printing, the latest laser processing systems and control technology, automation in laser applications, and the latest technology and applications of laser macro processing.

The Chinese Laser Market Summit 2016 will be held in Shanghai at the same time as LASER World of PHOTONICS CHINA and the 11th International Laser Processing and Systems Conference (LPC 2016). 2016 Shanghai International Forum on Modern Optical Manufacturing Engineering and Sciences
Date: March 15–16 ; Venue: Shanghai New International Expo Center
The 2016 Shanghai International Forum on Modern Optical Manufacturing Engineering and Sciences will be staged by the Committee of Optical Manufacturing Technology, COS, Messe München and SPIE, USA (Technical Co-sponsor).

The forum will present the following topics:
Development Trends for Optical Manufacturing Enterprises—Optical Manufacturing Index; Frontier Technology Revolution for Optical Engineering and Science—Applications; Frontier Technology Revolution for Optical Engineering and Science—Manufacturing and Metrology; Advanced Machining and Measurement Equipment from Overseas.

Workshop on Safety of Industrial Lasers and Systems Use
Date: March 16 ; Venue: Shanghai New International Expo Center
The Workshop will be staged by the Chinese Optical Society- Laser Processing Committee (COS-LPC) and Messe München. The importance of safety is attracting more and more attention. In accordance with the standards in national safety regulations, we call on all laser practitioners to take immediate action and observe laser safety protection in order to be responsible for personnel, society and customers. Training is primarily aimed at personnel in laser R&D, manufacturing, operation and management. The topics will cover the potential risks of laser products, protection requirements, the relevant operating standard in China and effective measures for laser safety protection.

2016 Advanced Training Course of Laser and Micro/Nano Manufacturing
Date: March 15 ; Venue: Shanghai New International Expo Center
The course will be staged by the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, MMI (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and the Chinese Laser Press. It will feature topics such as fiber laser 2.0, laser technology and micro / nano manufacturing, advanced laser technology applications and the market. The training course is open to staff involved in fiber laser applications micro/nano manufacturing staff and participants from the laser market.
