Green-chemiluminescent probe for superoxide anions
Superoxide anions O2-, a radical oxygen, shows a bioactive function such as detoxification in the living body. On the other hand, an excess of superoxide anions trigger cancellation or aging by destroying healthy tissue. The invention offers a chemiluminescent probe for the detection of superoxide anions featuring high luminescent intensity, high specificity to super oxide anions with low probe concentrations, high sensitivity to super oxide anions and luminescent at long wavelengths. The invention can be used to detect superoxide anions in biomedical tissue.
