The 10th Western China International Economy and Trade Fair (WCIETF) Thursday, October 01, 2009

Western China International Economy and Trade Fair is co-sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce, and seven other central government departments, together with 12 western provinces and autonomous regions.

It has become a major event for commodity displays, economic and trade exchanges and investment promotion for promoting the opening-up of Western China. Previous 9 sessions of the fair recorded 16,542 participating companies.

Themed with “Seizing Opportunities, Handling Challenges, Opening up and Co-operation, All-Win and Development” the Fair will fully demonstrate the substantial achievements of the 10 years since the launching of the western development strategy as well as the new achievements of Sichuan’s post-quake reconstructions. Focusing on further implementation of the western development strategy and pragmatic promotion of the economic co-operations between western China and Pan-Asia, this fair will organize over 40 important economic and trade events including the 2nd western China international cooperation forum, investment presentations of 12 provinces(districts, cities) in west China and Xinjiang Production & Construction Corps as well as signing ceremonies for important economic cooperative projects.

It will be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in October, 2009. It will take the theme of “Great opening-up, great cooperation, great exploitation, great development” and emphasize on Pan-Asian cooperation and exchanges. It will cover an area of 120,000 sqm and hold more than 40 high-level business forums. For more information, please contact:
