Encoderless safety function for motion control drive systems

There is thus no longer any need for complex wiring, installation and commissioning of external encoders. The “Safely Limited Speed” function monitors the speed of induction motors, for example on winders in textile machines, in accordance with standard EN 61800-5-2.

The encoderless solution for implementing SLS is not only available for the Sinamics S110 and S120 frequency converters, but also for the Sinamics G120 and G120D inverters.
