The Micro Nanotech area at MD&M West has been successfully established
All 13 international exhibitors at the joint booth were highly satisfied with the course of the show and with the quality of the contacts they made.
Many exhibitors booked their booth for the upcoming year directly on-site so that two thirds of the booths for 2018 are already occupied. The IVAM Microtechnology Network will therefore enlarge the “Micro Nanotech” area for 2018 and offer additional space.
The exhibits at the IVAM joint booth included, for example, electronic and optical components for medical devices, micro pumps and microfluidic parts as well as measuring instruments for surface control of e.g. implants.
Furthermore, manufacturing processes for metal components in micrometer scale for medical applications, coating methods as well as surface modification have been presented.
The Finnish company Ginolis Oy, supplier of assembly automation and liquid handling solutions for medical technology and the diagnostics industry, was among the five nominated companies for the innovation prize of the fair.
In addition to the business contacts on their booths, the exhibitors were able to make and maintain contacts with American companies before and after the show and during a joint get-together of all IVAM exhibitors in a typical American restaurant.
