5th International Conference on Cellular Materials (CellMAT), Scientific Programme online
The activities in the development, manufacture and application of cellular materials are steadily growing. Meanwhile, R&D of cellular materials constitutes a discrete but well-connected research field of materials science and engineering. In the same manner as other materials, it is expected to be a driver of innovations and novel or better products.
Over the last years, applications have been identified in the fields of energy efficiency, light weight construction, novel and efficient conversion concepts or biomedical repair functions, just to mention a few.
This year the conference will be held in Bad Staffelstein, in the wonderful and special location Kloster Banz (Franconian Switzerland, Bavaria).
We are proud to announce the following Plenary Speaker:
Opening Speaker
• Prof. David S. Smith, University of Limoges, France
Thermophysical properties of porous materials: microstructural design parameters for thermal insulation
Keynote Speaker
• Prof. Jean Paul Allain, University of Illinois, Urbana, USA
Surface and interface nano-to-mesoscale patterning of biomimetic architected cellular materials
• Dr. Ernesto Di Maio, University of Naples Federico I, Italy
Graded and layered foams by gas foaming
• Dr.-Ing. Patrick Gehre, TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany
Functionalisation of cellular filtering materials for steel melt: a contribution to clean steel technologies
• Prof. Aleksander Gurlo, TU Berlin, Germany
