International marketplace shows trends for the medical technology industry
COMPAMED 22:
COMPAMED is the leading international marketplace for medical manufacturing suppliers. After the pandemic years 2020 and 2021, full halls and exhibitors from all over the world await the international audience again this year.
Modern medical technology for diagnostics and therapy must meet increasing requirements for mobility and energy efficiency. For this reason, the demand for miniaturization solutions of medical components remains at a high level.
Largest joint area at COMPAMED
With 47 exhibitors, the “Hightech for Medical Devices” marketplace initiated by the IVAM Microtechnology Network is the largest joint area at COMPAMED. This year, the IVAM section includes companies and institutes from nine nations, including Germany, Finland, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Spain, Great Britain, France and the USA.
A special focus is on optics and precision technology companies. Furthermore, a wide variety of microcomponents, sensors, actuators and sensor systems, micropumps, coatings, smart textiles as well as manufacturing and processing methods and services are among the innovations on display.
Target market USA is a main topic at the COMPAMED HIGH-TECH Forum
In addition, the COMPAMED HIGH-TECH Forum in Hall 8a will provide insights into research and development, explain technology trends in the industry and provide information on relevant foreign markets for medical technology companies. More than 60 international speakers will present lectures, discussion rounds and networking sessions to initiate contacts on all four days of the trade fair.
Forum highlights include, for example, the new internationalization session “Europe meets USA – High-Tech for Medical Devices”, which is specifically designed to strengthen cooperation in the field of medical technology between component manufacturers, equipment manufacturers and users from Europe and the USA. Here, users exhibiting at the neighboring MEDICA will also present their products and explain their requirements for component manufacturers.
The topic of microfluidics, a key technology in the field of diagnostics, remains important. For the first time, the forum will feature two sessions on this topic: “Microfluidic Session Part I: Microfluidic Platforms – Shortcut to a Product” and “Microfluidic Session Part II – Microfluidics: The Bits and Pieces to make-up a System”. Other topics include “Printed Electronics for Next Generation Wearables and Diagnostics,” “Smart Sensor Solutions,” and “Laser and Photonics Applications.”
The forum and the joint booth can be found in Hall 8a at the Düsseldorf exhibition ground from November 14 to 17, 2022.
