AlphaGalileo launches new Spanish service www.alphagalileo.es
The new website has been created to disseminate news from Spain and news written in the Spanish language more effectively and, to help promote research from the 200+ research and higher-education institutions in Spain.
The AlphaGalileo Foundation and FECYT partnership will include exchanges of best-practice to assist press office staff to promote news from Spain to the worldwide audience of journalists registered with the AlphaGalileo service.
“Spanish is the second widest-spoken language worldwide and this new website takes advantage of this to reach even wider audiences via the trusted AlphaGalileo interface,” said Stephen Brain, Chief Executive of AlphaGalileo Foundation.
“Working closely with in-country partners to promote research news from that country is a model which benefits a wide audience. We very much hope to extend this model in other countries throughout Europe.”
“We aim to project internationally Spanish research and help to achieve a better understanding of advances in Spanish R&D” commented Eulalia Pérez Sedeño, General Director of FECYT.
Based in FECYT's Madrid office, the AlphaGalileo Spain project will promote research from Spanish–speaking researchers. Under this agreement, all Spanish researchers gain free and unlimited access to the AlphaGalileo service.
