Integrated Construction of Control Cabinets
Whether you are designing or manufacturing industrial cabinets, the same maxim applies: everything must be integrated. The latest version of EPLAN Cabinet 1.9 further optimizes the coordination of all phases of developing process control enclosures – from engineering through manufacturing.
EPLAN Cabinet contains all the functions for equipping mounting panels and whole enclosures with components quickly and reliably. It provides optimal support for each phase of building control cabinets. The result is an integrated workflow, facilitated by practical features that incorporate specific processes instantly. EPLAN Cabinet provides automatic collision controls as well as automatic allowances for minimum distances specified by the manufacturer and the direct collision of bodies. That ensures the highest degree of accuracy in assembly and wiring and that the cooling of the interior is sufficient to maintain continuous operating reliability. With EPLAN Cabinet 1.9, designers now have the ability to incorporate matching control cabinet accessories from the Rittal TS8 series such as cable chambers, top-mounting modules, module panels or chassis to simplify assembly of enclosures.
Coherent solutions from A to Z
Also new, proprietary accessories can be adapted individually to different types of control cabinets. The user can determine the desired cooling solution, even include documentation for Rittal Therm top- or side-located climate control units. By doing that, the cooling unit can be positioned in a 3D model with all necessary drilling data already specified.
Providing such a complete 3D model to every relevant department as well as customers ultimately speeds the project to completion. The designer receives all necessary feedback based on the 3D model and makes requested modifications on the virtual product before manufacturing begins.
There are also potential cost savings for manufacturing and installation resulting from the inclusion of new integrated interfaces that enable EPLAN Cabinet to work with third-party installation tools like the automated cable assembly system by Komax, automated cutting devices for cable channels and mounting rails, as well the proprietary Personal Wiring Assistant by Steinhauer.
