13th AKL – International Laser Technology Congress: May 4–6, 2022 in Aachen – Laser Technology Live already this year!
However, so that interested parties do not have to wait another two years for the live demonstrations in Europe's largest laser system park, which are firmly anchored in the AKL, Fraunhofer ILT intends to open its doors as early as this autumn and in 2021 for various planned symposia in Aachen – provided that the general conditions allow it again.
The AKL’22 – International Laser Technology Congress will follow the proven structure of previous years and bring together laser manufacturers and laser users from different industries.
One day of the conference will be dedicated to parallel forums with future-oriented topics, for example, on Additive Manufacturing, process monitoring & AI, and laser technology solutions in quantum technology.
The technological conference – with its parallel sessions on beam source development and laser material processing as well as the accompanying Sponsors’ Exhibition – will again give attendees the opportunity to learn about the latest status and current trends in laser technology and to exchange information with our specialists in depth.
Laser Technology Live already at upcoming conferences in Aachen!
Experience has shown that many of the more than 600 conference attendees show particular interest in over 90 live presentations in Europe’s largest laser system park at Fraunhofer ILT in Aachen. There, experts from industry and science can discuss laser applications at an intensive and professional level in the direct vicinity of the numerous laser systems.
In the coming conferences, the spectrum of topics will range from additive manufacturing and thin-film processes, ultrashort pulse technologies and digitalization to innovative beam sources for metrology, production engineering and quantum technology.
There will be ample opportunities for thematic demonstrations and technical exchanges in the second half of 2020 and in 2021. We have planned the following conferences, meetings and workshops in Aachen:
– 4th Conference on Laser Polishing LaP, from September 16 to 17, 2020.
– AMTC4 – The Technology Conference on Additive Manufacturing, from October 20 to 22, 2020.
– 2nd AI for Laser Technology Conference, from November 4 to 5, 2020.
– 3rd Laser Symposium Electromobility – LSE’21, from January 19 to 20, 2021.
– 6th ICTM Conference for Turbomachinery Manufacturing, from February 24 to 25, 2021.
– 6th UKP-Workshop: Ultrafast Laser Technology, from April 21 to 22, 2021.
Fraunhofer ILT has been encouraged to pursue this path in this form, above all, thanks to the positive response from the more than 50 AKL sponsors, the supporting organizations, the 87 speakers and the participants who have already registered.
Fraunhofer ILT at the LASER World of PHOTONICS 2021
The scientists of Fraunhofer ILT and the associated chairs at RWTH Aachen University will also present their broad spectrum of R&D activities next year at the LASER World of PHOTONICS trade fair in Munich from June 21 to 24, 2021. At the joint Fraunhofer booth, visitors can find out about the latest results of application-oriented research and laser technology solutions for challenging industrial problems. Whether it be e-mobility, climate research, energy efficiency, environmental technology or smart production, Fraunhofer ILT is meeting the challenges of a future-oriented society.
