Future development of research perspectives of virtual reality in construction applications
The 11th International Conference on Construction Applications of Virtual Reality, CONVR 2011, brings together leading researchers and applicants from a wide range of architecture, civil engineering and the construction industry and enhances the exchange of concepts and methods for the application of virtual reality and augmented reality.
The aim of the conference is to report on ideas, improvements, and applications of innovative international research activities and on strategies for the future development of research perspectives of virtual reality in construction applications.
In 2011 the CONVR will focus on the following topics:
• Design visualization
• Construction visualization
• Building information modelling (BIM)
• Simulation in construction
• 3D geographic information systems
• Mobile and wearable computing
• Virtual reality in education and training applications
• Collaborative visual and augmented environments
• Interactive media environments
Authors from all over the world submitted more than 120 papers. The scientific committee invited 80 authors to present their papers at the CONVR 2011 in Weimar.
