Max Rubner Conference 2013 – Health Aspects of Milk and Dairy Products
In Western countries milk and dairy products contribute significantly to the intake of essential nutrients. Recently, health effects of milk and dairy products have increasingly come into public focus regarding their beneficial but also potential adverse effects.
The aim of the Max Rubner Conference 2013 is to present current know-ledge regarding the health aspects of the consumption of milk and dairy products in the light of recent nutritional, clinical, and technological research.
The Max Rubner Conference 2013 will give an update on the latest developments on:
• Milk constituents, including nutrients and steroid hormones
• Impact of feeding, milking, and processing on nutritionally relevant
milk constituents
• Epidemiological evidence on health effects
• Human intervention studies on health effects
• Mechanisms of potential beneficial/adverse health effects
During a final panel discussion experts will discuss the findings of the Conference and elaborate future strategies for public health recommendations on the consumption of milk and dairy products.
