Dantec Dynamics is pleased to announce the arrival of the next generation of Shearography equipment for composite inspection
Nowadays it is possible to detect, without any surface preparation, delaminations, disbonds, undulations, kissing bonds, crushed core and many other types of defect.
In principal the technique requires two images at two different loading conditions which are automatically compared to each other.
The small levels of loading required can be applied to the object surface using either thermal, vacuum, vibration or mechanical excitation. This creates a unique surface deformation linked to the physical response of the material to the loading.
The results are available in real-time and are displayed automatically to the operator. Further image processing can be performed to customise the results for export and reporting.
The new generation of integrated systems from Dantec Dynamics GmbH include the radically enhanced Q-810 portable shearography system typically used for Quality Assurance in production and in-field inspections.
The overall system weight has been reduced which significantly helps with day-to-day handling; the system can now easily be handled by a single person and therefore the running costs have now been reduced to a minimum.
Furthermore, a new advanced feature called “Real-time Phase Image Display” is available which provides live measurement results to the operator, allowing them to make a final judgement at an early stage.
The Q-800 and Q-810 Shearography systems are now supported by the ISTRA 4D software. This software is based on the common platform for Dantec Dynamics’ products.
Extended Benefits:
• Improved image and shearography results
• Live phase map display
• High resolution firewire camera support for Q-800 and Q-810
• Q-810 reduced weight and size (2 box electronic container)
• On hood display for Q-810 portable vacuum hood
Dantec Dynamics continues to lead the way in Laser Shearography by providing fast results with unsurpassed image resolution and quality.
