Capacitive sensors KS – highly accurate even under difficult measurement circumstances

Capacitive Sensor

As the target's material and surface have no influence on the measurement, the sensors are ideal for thickness, distance, or position determination. A typical application is the quality control of precision mechanics.

Another big advantage of capacitive sensors is that they are capable to measure independent of the target's temperature.

Manufacturing tolerances of hot work pieces can be checked and even controlling the abrasion of brake discs under load is possible.

The sensors are suitable for a temperature range of -50 up to +200°C. They even work in high vacuum, or in a radioactive environment. Other typical applications for capacitive sensors is the use in squeezers, motors, or climatic chambers.

The KS capacitive sensors are available with measurement ranges from 0.05 mm, up to maximum 10.0 mm. The dynamic resolution is 0.01 %.

WayCon Positionsmesstechnik also offers customised solutions. For example, the sensor head can be adapted to the target or to the measurement conditions.

It is also possible to adjust the output signal of the evaluation electronics, so that the implementation into the customer's existing system is easy.
