Seminar on Trade and Investment Opportunities in Advance Engineering and Life Sciences in Malaysia

The Hon. Minister of International Trade and Industry, Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed will be leading a Trade & Investment Mission to Europe from 7-13 March 2010. The Hon. Minister will be accompanied by a group of leading Malaysian businessmen and senior government officials.

In conjunction with the mission, a seminar on “Trade & Investment Opportunities in Advanced Engineering and Life Sciences in Malaysia” will be held on Friday, 12 March 2010 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham B40 1PP, United Kingdom.

The event is jointly organised by the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) and Malaysia External Trade Corporation (MATRADE) in collaboration with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) and Midlands World Trade Forum (MWTF).

The Hon. Minister will deliver a keynote address at the seminar, which will focus on current economic environment in Malaysia; latest prevailing business environment and opportunities in the country; facilities and incentives offered by the government and advantages of Malaysia as a strategic hub for operations in the region. Participants of the seminar will also have the opportunity to hold dialogues with the Hon. Minister; establish networking with Malaysian businessmen as well as the opportunity to explore potential business collaboration or alliance in Malaysia and UK.
