Antioxidant substance fractions for cosmetic formulations
In the pharmaceutical but especially in the cosmetic industry is a high demand for new substances or substance combinations originating from natural resources. Rheum sp. (rhubarb) contain a broad variety of interesting ingredients. Substance fractions isolated from roots with a specially developed extraction and isolation procedure showed a significantly higher anti-oxidative capacity compared to products available on the market.
