Fabric with temperature adaptation
With the proposed system the problem of overheating of human or engine caused by strongly fluctuating environmental temperatures can be solved by using a textile protection.
Hermetically sealed hollow fibres are woven into the fabric, where they act as heatpipes. This means that below a certain threshold temperature inside only the isolating properties of the fabric are effective, while above that temperature heat is actively carried from the inside to the outside. This takes place because at the inside the working fluid in the heatpipes evaporates and emits the heat at the colder outside. Thanks to the phase change an effective heat transport is possible.
