Lightweight Structural Elements
The basic idea of the invention consists in devising particularly stiff and strong lightweight sandwich structures and hybrid profiles with cellular composite materials and integrated fiber-reinforced layers. The cellular composite material is made of lightweight and very inexpensive cellular granules, which are bound with a plastic matrix.
