New Method Accelerates Gas Detection and Identification

Prof. Schütze of Saarland University and his employees developed a method for fast detection and identification of gases and gas mixtures after the power-up of the sensor.

Within few seconds after activation the sensor emits a signal. It is possible as the absolute resistance response is not evaluated any more, but a temporal behaviour of the resistance response, which is substantially determined by the current gas environment and not by the back-up story.
