Modular immunoglobulins composed of variable domains and CH3 domains exhibiting improved effector functions

Domain-exchanged complete antibody composed of the Fc fragment and variable domains where CH1 and CL domains have been exchanged for a pair of CH3 domains.

Modular immunoglobulins composed of Fab-like fragment with HerceptinVL and VH region and CH3 domains and an unmodified Fc fragment are described. Novel is an increased binding to FcR³III, which leads to potentiated T-cell activation upon binding to a Her2-positive cell line

Novel photo acid generator for cationic polymerization

A new aluminum based photo acid generator which is easy to synthesize[2, 3] (sulphonium as weil as iodonium salt) at high yields is described. The educts are inexpensive and commercially available. This high stability and the abandonment of any heavy metals in our novel PAG prompts a low toxicity.

Wooden Beam Head Temperature Control in lnterior lnsulated Walls

The invention prevents the condensation of water forming on the traverse heads of a wooden beam ceiling when the building is insulated internally. Using heat conduction plates enables energy-saving temperature control of the beam head area and thus durable renovation of a wooden beam ceiling.

Thin film solar cells based on copper oxide

The new type of solar cells contains copper oxide phases as a photovoltaic absorber film in combination with e.g. AlGaN, ZnMgO, or ZnBeO thin film. These are non-toxic and their production is possible in industrial scale (e.g. using the cathode sputtering technique) and with low energy consumption.

Salmonella DIVA vaccine for pigs

Food-borne salmonella infections are mostly arising from poultry or pigs. While actions have been taken for poultry there has only been minor success for a pig vaccine. Scientists at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover developed a marker vaccine for pigs, which allows differentiation of vaccinated and infected animals.
