Posey restraint for the veterinary medical diagnostic of large animals
The present invention includes a measuring system which is specifically engineered for the attachment of the device “Polar Equine RS800 CX” to large animals. It consists of an elastic stretch material which does not restrict the freedom of movement and breathing during the measurement. The measuring belt contains wide velcro-fastener and buckle systems and can thus be adapted to the individual chest sizes of large animals. It also contains leather bags in which the electrodes, the transmitter and, if necessary, the receiver can be stowed in order to protect them from environmental influences. The leather bags are attached to the measuring belt by using velcrostraps. Thereby they can be positioned variably along the belt at different positions. The belt system has already been completed with the help of a saddler. Its function – especially its fitting has been proven in case of longterm measurements (for example over a period of 24 hours). It is also be suited for field measurements.
