Sintering of silicon carbide RSiC for diesel particulate filters and other applications

According to this innovation SiO2-enriched additives are given to the binder containing compound. The carbon is then being oxidised inside of the sample, no oxidative atmosphere has to be added. The complete elimination of the binder of an RSiC compound backfill can be reached in one burning cycle without changing the atmospheric conditions. The recrystallised silicon carbide can be used for diesel particulate filters.
