In Vivo Determination of the Neurotransmitter GABA
This invention involves a measurement process and a sensor for determining gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) on the basis of two enzymes. This invention relies on the combined application of new periplasmic aldehyde oxidoreductase PaoABC and GABA-transaminase (GABA-T). The enzyme is immobilized together or in separate layers in a biosensor. The measuring principle is based on the sequential reaction of both enzymes.
