UBIFRANCE showcases French hi-tech in 4 pavilions at CeBIT 2011
According to forecasts by the European Information Technology Observatory (EITO), total turnover for the IT sector in France will be up by 4.8% on 2010, to reach €52 billion in 2011. France has been posting the highest growth rate in the ICT sector as a whole, as compared to other European countries, and one of the highest growth rates worldwide. The entire French ICT market (including telecommunications and consumer electronics) is expected to rise by 2.5% in 2011 (on 2010) to reach €117.4 billion. French companies attending CeBIT will illustrate the dynamism of the industry in France.
CeBIT is set to bring together suppliers and users from the whole world, who work in a range of sectors within the telecoms and IT industry. The four French Pavilions organised by UBIFRANCE, France’s export-support agency, will be showcasing the products, services and technologies of 30 cutting-edge French-based companies representing the ICT sector. This will be done through two of CEBIT’s four user-focused platforms — CeBIT pro, CeBIT gov, CeBIT lab and CeBIT life.
CeBIT pro, acting as the core platform of the trade show, will show reliable and effective digital solutions for businesses, and 21 French companies will be exhibiting at the French Pavilions located in Halls 3, 6 and 14.
For its part, CeBIT lab will be focusing on the future of ICT applications, through the Forum for Research and Innovation, which is due to be set up at CeBIT. There will be nine French exhibitors in Hall 9.
A special event is planned in the Demo Area, which will enable visitors to learn more about French technological innovation. This will be held on 2 and 3 March, from 10.00am to 5.00pm, in Hall 9 (Booth B09/UBIFRANCE).
