E-Commerce Paris expects 30,000 visitors in September 2011

“Today, E-Commerce Paris is the foremost European trade show for e-commerce, boasting over 450 exhibitors across four main sections: E-commerce Technologies, Digital Marketing, Logistics, and International E-commerce. There will be almost 350 conferences over the three days, [which will be] held simultaneously in 14 rooms, new key moments (including three plenary sessions and sector-focused conferences), as well as the 4th E-Commerce Awards,” explains trade-show Managing Director Alain Laidet.

Within Europe's largest exhibition venue on e-commerce, at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre (Hall 7.3), in the French capital, over 450 exhibitors will be sharing their expertise and innovations with sector professionals across a surface area of 27,000m² for the duration of the trade show, from 13 to 15 September 2011.

E-Commerce Paris represents the entire digital-commerce sector and will feature a number of highlights this year. These highlights include the presence of six prominent European postal-services providers: the Belgian, British, French, Spanish, Swedish and Swiss Post Offices have all chosen E-Commerce Paris in order to address the new logistics challenges facing e-merchants today, and to display their solutions.

The trade show will also host stands by major e-merchants such as PIXMANIA, CDISCOUNT, 3 SUISSES, VENTE-PRIVEE.COM, and LA REDOUTE, which will be exhibiting their solutions in logistics, e-commerce delegation and cloud computing, along with Europe's most significant e-commerce open-source platforms.

PRESTASHOP, MAGENTO, DRUPAL, OXID ESALES and RBS CHANGE will attend the trade show, together with their integrators, which will represent an ideal range of providers from which to choose the perfect environment for one's services.

Furthermore, E-Commerce Paris will present two sections, respectively devoted to Mobile Commerce and Social Commerce. While innovations relating to both will be featured at most booths, Mobile Commerce and Social Commerce will each have a specifically dedicated exhibition area.

A surface area of 500 m² will be devoted to international e-commerce. It will feature a Spanish Pavilion; a Quebec Pavilion, designed by UBIFRANCE, hosting 10 young Canadian entrepreneurs; a Tunisian booth, in partnership with CEPEX; and, finally, an E-Commerce Europe section, where the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry will bring together e-commerce experts hailing from 11 European countries, so that they may answer e-merchants' questions. The countries concerned are Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, and the UK.

As E-Commerce is in the process of specialising, there will be a new addition to E-Commerce Paris with the introduction of sector-focused conferences. Three cycles of conferences devoted to specific e-commerce sectors will take place. On 13 September, the focus will be on distribution and, more specifically, cross-channelling (i.e. cross-channel e-marketing and growth strategies). E-tourism and tourism in the age of social networks will be looked at on 14 September. Finally, on the last day, 15 September, the focus will be on e-commerce in the textile industry.

The trade show in Paris will also hold the 4th E-Commerce Awards. This year, the prestigious jury will assess 260 candidates and award nine prizes for the leading innovations in the market. Prizes to be awarded will include a range of categories — Technologies, Innovations, Digital Marketing, Customer Relations, M-Commerce, New E-retailing Services, Logistics, Security, International, and the E-Commerce Gold Award 2011.

The ceremony will be open to the public via online registration, and will be held on 14 September at 6.00pm, to close the trade-show's second day.

The Jury members 2011 will be Xavier Court, Chairman of Jury – Co-founder, VENTE-PRIVEE.COM; Guillaume Darrousez, E-Commerce Manager, REDCATS-LA REDOUTE; Justin Ziegler, Co-founder and Engineering Manager, PRICEMINISTER.COM; Béatrice Grenade, Marketing Manager, VOYAGES-SNCF.COM; Pierre-Noël Luiggi, Founder and Managing Director, OSCARO.COM; Patrick Oualid, Head of New Business & Strategic Partnerships, PIXMANIA; Olivier Carrette, Internet and E-Commerce Manager, GALERIES LAFAYETTE; Mathieu Staat, Marketing Manager, FNAC.COM; Pierre Tremolières, CEO, ELBEE-DELAMAISON.FR; Ara Cinar, Vice-Chairman, FRANCE LOISIRS ; Vincent Levy, Internet Manager, BUT; Frédéric Wilhelm, E-Business Manager, MORGAN; Bertrand Pineau, New Technology Manager, FEVAD; Marie-Agnès Giroud, Project Manager, ACSEL; and Bruno Florence, E-marketing Commission Chairman, SNCD.
