French aerospace expertise to take flight in Hamburg

Aircraft Interiors is the leading international trade show for the sector, bringing together innovative companies in the field of cabin design, in-flight entertainment (IFE) and passenger services. The trade show is organised in parallel with the Aerospace Testing exhibition, a leading European event for the aerospace industry. For the first time, there will be a French pavilion at Aerospace Testing, in addition to the French Pavilion at Aircraft Interiors.

In partnership with GIFAS (the French aerospace industries association), Centrexport (the regional development agency for the Central region of France), the Chamber of Commerce for the Midi-Pyrénées (a region in south-western France), and the Chamber of Commerce for Seine and Marne (a département situated in the Paris region), UBIFRANCE will bring together 20 French companies across the two trade shows, which will take place in Hamburg from 18 to 20 May 2010.

The French Pavilion at Aircraft Interiors will feature 15 innovative companies and organisations. Aerocentre is an aerospace cluster that brings together 26 companies based in the Central region of France (www.aero-centre.fr). Aero Experts is a design and engineering consultancy, specialising in aircraft interiors, aerostructures and aerospace tooling projects (www.aero-experts.com).

Châteauroux Airport is located south of Paris, and is specialised in cargo, pilot training, aircraft storage, maintenance, dismantling and recycling (www.chateauroux-airport.com).

Attax has designed and manufactured aircraft seat attachment fittings for leading aircraft seat makers for 20 years (www.attax.com), while Axson Technologies specialises in the manufacture of polyurethane and epoxy resins, including self-extinguishing materials for aerospace applications (www.axson.com). For its part, CabinExpAir offers a full range of products and services for aircraft cabins, including retrofitting, seat refurbishment, and IFE development and integration (www.cabinexpair.com).

Composite Industrie specialises in the design, certification, manufacturing and repair of aerospace and defence parts and systems for composite and hybrid metal composite parts (www.composite-industrie.com). CRCI Midi-Pyrenees, the Chamber of Commerce for the Midi-Pyrénées region of south-western France, represents and promotes the interests of companies based in the region (www.midi-pyrenees.cci.fr).

Elta designs, manufactures, and supports emergency locator transmitters, which are approved by the leading aircraft manufacturers (www.elta.fr), while Filature de Dreuilhe specialises in carpets for aeroplanes and luxury hotels.

Indraero Siren is an equipment manufacturer and sub-contractor, which works in partnership with designers, contractors, and manufacturers of aerostructures and aero-engines (www.iaosi.fr). Otonomy Aviation is a leading specialist in embedded aircraft security, thanks to its flagship PARABELLUM® video security system (www.otonomy-aviation.com).

PGA specialises in IFE/CMS for private jets, as well as offering customised HD for aircraft used by heads of state (www.pga-avionics.com). Simair supplies airlines with bespoke VIP and CJ galleys, privacy compartments and monuments, standard commercial galleys, stowages, dividers, partitions and ATR security cockpit doors (www.simair.com). Finally, SMAC is an expert in noise-damping solutions for aircraft interiors (www.smac.fr).

There will also be a French Pavilion at the Aerospace Testing trade show, which will showcase five innovative companies. AAVD designs and produces airborne video products for military and civil applications, including high-speed cameras, four-channel solid-state recorders (compact flash output), video inserters and lipstick cameras (www.aavd.fr).

BCSA Gear manufactures custom-designed high-speed rotating test systems with applications in aerospace and defence (www.reducteur-boisset.com), while the Clemessy Group will present its expertise in electrical engineering, automation and mechanised systems (www.clemessy.com).

D2T Powertrain Engineering specialises in powertrain development and calibration, as well as test-bed engineering and equipment (www.d2t.com). Finally, Global Vision Systems, a software developer and publisher, will showcase its innovative IPLM (Instrumentation PLM) solution, EasySensorManager, which enables the complete management of the instrumentation life cycle (www.global-vision-systems.com).
