Modular syngo.plaza as a comprehensive solution – even for enterprise radiology
- Version VB20 of syngo.plaza is designed to optimize usability and speed in reading and reporting.
- New features of syngo.plaza 3D+1 improve consistency and automate workflows.
- Vendor-neutral archiving (VNA) options1 from departmental to enterprise level are now available.
As radiology department caseloads increase with the aging population, institutions need to stay competitive with their reading and reporting performance. A long-lasting powerful Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) that is expandable for the future is inevitable.
To improve clinics' imaging workflows, images must be available across departmental boundaries and with mobile access on tablets. The new version VB20 of Siemens Healthcare's syngo.plaza will offer reading and reporting, viewing, and archiving modules for full entrepreneurial flexibility. It is premiering at the congress of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, U.S.
Syngo.plaza version VB20's new user interface is designed to enhance intuitive reading by reducing descriptive elements to the essentials and providing a cleaner button style and navigation tool area. An optimized color scheme also helps users focus on relevant image information. Resolution-independent user interface scaling leads to increased ease of use, as all navigation elements are automatically scaled equally to provide intuitive reading and a stabilized image area. Comparing images within a single study as well as with previous examinations is easier with syngo.plaza, with its new features series synchronization and synchronize zoom. It is also designed to increase productivity and decreases report turnaround time. Syngo.plaza not only enables the everyday routine reading of 3D images: syngo.plaza 3D+1 now also includes Siemens Healthcare's automatic landmarking and parsing of human anatomy (Alpha) technology with the features AutoViews and Anatomical Range Presets. They speed up imaging workflows by automating and standardizing reconstructions and views as well as improving consistency in image reconstruction and presentation.
To fully support radiology workflows, a PACS covers reading, reporting, and viewing as well as archiving. Today medical image archives are growing exponentially – as are heterogeneous radiological IT system environments and the challenges of managing multi-site environments for large clinical enterprises. That's why Siemens Healthcare now offers dedicated archiving solutions, from radiological vendor-neutral DICOM archiving to enterprise-wide solutions1. These allow users to consolidate data from clinical and radiological departments into one central repository.
1 These options are realized by seamless interfaces to other Siemens or 3rd party products.
